Author visits are all about making literature feel real. Through my historical fiction, my goal is to bridge the gap between the stories on the page and the actual places and people that students in Robeson and the surrounding counties know so well. Whenever I visit a school, I want to emphasize how powerful education is. I always encourage students to chase their own creative passions, whether that's acting, writing, or singing, while also staying focused on taking their education to the next level.
